ANNOUNCEMENTS:
 | COURT OF HONOR: A Court of Honor
will be held on Monday, October 6 at 7:15 p.m. in the troop
room. Scouts must be in full Class A uniform. Please come
out and celebrate our scout's achievements. |
 | NEW PHOTOS ADDED: Visit our Photo
Gallery to see photos from the most recent camping trip. |
 | POPCORN SALE: The annual scout
popcorn sale takes place in Cradle of Liberty Council during the month
of October. Troop 1 will be selling popcorn at the Horsham Acme
each weekend. An email listing time slots which need to be
manned by scouts (and at least one adult) was sent to each scout
family. Please refer to the email for details and to sign up for
a shift. |
 | CITIZENSHIP AND HIKING MERIT BADGE CLASSES:
Classes for the three citizenship merit badge classes will be held
this fall. Details will be posted in October. A brief
meeting to determine the best dates/times for classes will be held
after the October 6 Court of Honor with Mrs. Shields. Please
obtain merit badge cards from Mr. Whalen. |
 | TROOP COMMITTEE MEETINGS are held the
LAST Wednesday of each month. |
 | WAWA HOAGIE COUPONS: Wawa hoagie
coupons will be available for purchase. Coupons cost $3.50
each. |
 | RECYCLE PRINTER CARTRIDGES: Troop 1 collects used inkjet and laser printer
cartridges for recycling. We earn money with these items while
keeping them out of landfills. Please note that we cannot accept
previously filled cartridges or generic store brand cartridges.
We can no longer accept cell phones for recycling. Please do
continue to bring printer cartridges to any troop meeting. |
 | HEALTH FORMS: Troop 1 requires
up-to-date health forms to be kept on file throughout the year, not
just for summer camp. Scouts need the forms updated every three
years (Class 1 and 2). If a scout is under the care of a physician or requires
regular medication, then his form must be updated yearly (Class
3). All
adults who camp with the troop are also required to have up-to-date
forms. Those adults over 40 years of age (and you know who you
are!) must have their health forms updated yearly (Class 3). If you have
any questions, please see our Health Officer . |
