IMPORTANT UPCOMING MEETING DATES:  Everyone who is going on the upcoming camping trip to Black Moshannon State Park on May 16-18 please take note:  
  ---- Thursday, May 15, 7:00 p.m.  Meet at the troop room for pack inspections and trailer loading.  If you are backpacking, you must have your gear ready to go that night.  Rain is expected on Saturday night.  Be prepared for it.  Remember, we like to see your gear IN your pack and not roped to the outside of it.  For those who are staying in the campsite over the weekend for the archery program, your packs will also be inspected.  
-----Friday, May 16, 6:00 p.m  Meet at the troop room in Class A uniform for departure.  This is a long drive, and so we are leaving earlier.  Plan ahead and be on time.

TROOP COMMITTEE MEETINGS are held the LAST Wednesday of each month.  Please refer to the troop calendar for dates.

BACKPACKING 100-MILER:  Our 100-miler backpacking trip is scheduled for August 15-24, 2008.  Details will be given at troop meetings.  

TROOP CALENDAR:  The troop calendar has been updated through June 2008.  Please check the calendar and the upcoming events page to see what's in store for the upcoming year.  Check back often to get the most up-to-date info.

WAWA HOAGIE COUPONS:  Wawa hoagie coupons will be available for purchase.  Coupons cost $3.50 each.  All proceeds will go toward summer camp fees in 2008.

RECYCLE PRINTER CARTRIDGES AND CELL PHONES:  Troop 1 collects used inkjet and laser printer cartridges for recycling.  We also collect used cell phones.  These items are recycled, and we earn money.  Bring used printer cartridges and cell phones to any troop meeting.

HEALTH FORMS:  Troop 1 requires up-to-date health forms to be kept on file throughout the year, not just for summer camp.  Scouts need the forms updated every three years (Class 1 and 2).  If a scout is under the care of a physician or requires regular medication, then his form must be updated yearly (Class 3).  All adults who camp with the troop are also required to have up-to-date forms.  Those adults over 40 years of age (and you know who you are!) must have their health forms updated yearly (Class 3).  If you have any questions, please see our Health Officer .
